Introducing a new type of enemies, the Defender of Varrock quest pits players against buffed zombies. The Armored Zombies have a higher level than the regular ones. You will encounter them in multi-combat. They walk in hordes, so get ready to put those multi-target attacks to good use. These zombies become a permanent game addition after the quest is completed. If you fancy another go at them, you can come back for a second round.

What do you get for killing zombies? A Zombie Ax, of course. This is a one-handed weapon that is an improvement over the Dragon weapons. It’s a great upgrade before you get your hands on the Abyssal Whip. The ax has good attack speed and a 90 crush bonus. Players need to have 65 attack to use it. Let’s see how you can obtain it.
The Zombie Ax is acquired as a drop after you finish the quest. You won’t get it as a reward for completing the Defender of Varrock quest. The ax drops in a broken state. You must have 70 smithing to repair it. Find an anvil and repair it as soon as possible as this is a great weapon for the current meta.
